Born in June 2008, out of Cranford Azure D’Amour, by Shambles Super Ted, Varkies Valko is a cracking little blue dun colt. His name is derived from the Bulgarian word Valk, meaning ‘wolf’. Sadly, at just four weeks of age, we lost Saffi, Valko’s mum, and he was subsequently hand reared. His first year was pretty tough, and he lagged behind the others his age, but he now seems to be catching up, and finally working back to look like the stunning colt he promised to be when he was born. We look forward to seeing him as he matures over the next year or two, and intend to run him on for now. He is a truly amazing little pony - incredibly laid back & easy going - nothing is a problem for him. He is a definite ride/drive prospect for the future, and we hope to get him in the show ring also in 2011. An incredibly special little chap.
